Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright and professor in St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the child of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for productions as a young girl as well as watching her mother working. In her early years, Anna played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna was able to move to Toronto in Ontario to pursue her acting. Over the years that followed, she eventually made the move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, at an actor's workshop. They were engaged by 2009 after getting married. Anna has since converted to Judaism in the year before and Seth Cooperman got married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows by having a Jewish ceremony. Bo's similar-sex romance and Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was highlighted on CNN's list of the top Favorite TV Couples as well as named the most popular Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna grew a large internet following on social media because of the success of its show.
