Brooke Christa Shields was born on May 31, 1965. She was 12 when she was a child model. She won critical acclaim for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teens and was featured in numerous dramas during the 1980s, for instance, The Blue Lagoon (1980) as well as Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981).In 1983, Shields quit her job as a model and enrolled at Princeton University, where she obtained a bachelor's diploma in Romance Languages. Shields began acting again in the 1990s and appeared in minor parts in films. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), in which she was nominated to two Golden Globe Awards. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. In 2017 Shields returned to NBC as a key recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the show's 19th season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was born in Manhattan, New York on May 31, 1965. She is the daughter of model and actress Teri Shields (nee Schmon, 1933-2012) and businessman Frank Shields (1941-2003). According to William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections to many noble families in Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi is Civitella Cisi was an Italian noblewoman and the daughter of the American prince was Teri's paternal grandmother. Her great-uncle was the Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was pregnant, Frank's family paid her a sum to stop the pregnancy.
